Faces of America: Identity, Culture, Contemporary Poetry and Art

This multi-media experience included:
Shanea Strachan from Jamaica is displaying her "I am" series of photography. She will also be doing an interactive poetry workshop with the audience. The audience will create and write an identity poem on one side of the border. The name of that piece is “I Am.”
Analicia Casaus will display her photography that also focus on her queer identity.
OLÉ Youth will be presenting two performance art pieces that talk about immigration
There will also be a border installation and with an Audio art work as well as Joteria Undocumented artwork.
NMHU Media Art's End of The Semester Show
Nuestro Mundo, an installation that represent the importance of recycling in our world. The continents were made out of paper, plastic, and cardboard box. on the bottom there was recyclable objects with signs with recyling facts. Lastly, speakers were added on the continets and rainforest, birds, and wind sounds were playing.
