Jotería Undocumented Tour was created through a New Mexico Highlands University Fellowship. The Seabury Fellowship is given to three outstanding Media Art students at the university. I was interested in the fellowship because it was a great opportunity to demonstrate my skills and share, with diverse audiences, my desire to create, an educational project that will have a positive impact on students and the community. The Seabury Fellowship project is a series of banners that would represent the struggle of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, (LGBTQ) and undocumented people. I illustrated six LGBTQ undocumented individuals in each banner. Putting a face to the struggle would mean that we are here unafraid, queer and unashamed. The banners are 6 x 3 feet and have been displayed in different events and I have hosted numerous of workshops about the intersectionality of LGBTQ-Undocumented.
